Excited to go on Windy City Live in Chicago to talk about the new pop up shop! Image: on Instagram

Jesse Tyler Ferguson was in Chicago today and attended the opening of The Tie Bar’s Pop Up Shop.   The shop is located in on West Armitage Avenue in Lincoln Park, next to the Brown and Purple stop.

The new Pop-up shop is a 3,200 square foot space that has exposed brick, throw rugs and local art to showcase modern, masculine design with a slight rustic twist.   The goal of the shop is to create an urban, industrial feel that contrasts the high-end products.

“Ultimately, we wanted to create an environment that guys would want to hang out in,” said Allyson Wicha Lewis, vice president of merchandising.

The shop has the potential to be a great destination for holiday shopping this year, with products being featured in GQ, Esquire and seen on many red carpet events.

The Tie Bar revenues in 2013 were $16Mil, up $10 Mil reported in 2010.   Recently the organization hired Michael Alter as their CEDO and moved their headquarters from Naperville to Chicago’s hottest neighborhood (Lincoln Park on the West Loop).
