In an upcoming episode of NCIS, viewers will be seeing a teenage version of DiNozzo while he was a military prep school. We will be getting flashbacks of a teenage DiNozzo played by Tanner Stine (who can be seen in Haunted Hathaways and The Thundermans) from DiNozzo’s years at military prep academy.
Showrunner Gary Glasberg said that Stine is a “terrific kid who literally studied Michael Weatherly’s mannerism” and “blew us away in the audition. He came in with the haircut, the attitude, the whole thing.”
Tony’s past mentor and basketball coach is another guest-starring role, to be played by Steve Harris (The Practice, Legends), who later became the Provost of the Military Prep Academy that DiNozzo once attended.
A date for when this episode of NCIS will air was not disclosed other than it will be during February sweeps. Catch NCIS‘ Christmas-themed mid-season finale this Tuesday at 8/7c on CBS.
