‘The Big Bang Theory’s’ Mayim Bialik Stops by E! News and Shows Support for Co-Star Kaley Cuoco, Talks GrokNation and Season 9

After nine seasons, the stars of The Big Bang Theory have been through thick and thin together.

“I think we’re really blessed,” Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit CBS comedy gushed to E! News when she stopped by to chat about season 9 of the show as well as her new website, GrokNation.com. “I think we’re blessed more than people understand because I think when you hear that a cast gets along or functions like a family they think ‘Oh that’s just lip service.'”  [Note: We will be updating with more information after Bialik’s interview airs on E! News tonight.]

Like a real-life family, the castmembers are there to support each other and they’ve done just that in wake of Kaley Cuoco’s recent divorce (the actress announced her split from Ryan Sweeting after just 21 months of marriage on Friday).

“Kaley’s amazing,” Bialik said when asked how her close pal and co-star is doing following her breakup. “She has amazing friends, she has amazing family.”

The Big Bang Theory Bialik was asked about what it is like dating on The Big Bang Theory and who she would pick for love interests for Sheldon and Amy other than each other.   Note, this author isn’t keen on even considering that and feels that would be having the show jump the shark, so I hope the writers are not going there.   She does hope that Sheldon and Amy reunite.

She also talked about Blossom and how she would be open to a reunion, but is more concerned about the contractual issues.   Bialik then went on to promote her new lifestyle website GrokNation.

CBS Orders ‘Hunted’, A New Alternative Series

IF YOU HAD TO DISAPPEAR TOMORROW, COULD YOU? CBS ORDERS “HUNTED,” A NEW ALTERNATIVE SERIES WHERE PARTICIPANTS GO ON THE RUN TO EVADE CAPTURE BY SKILLED INVESTIGATORS

CBS has ordered HUNTED, a new one-hour alternative series where participants are challenged to go on the run as some of the world’s most highly skilled investigators and trackers pursue them in a nationwide manhunt. The series is being developed for broadcast based on the format of the UK show, which was created and produced by Shine TV. The new CBS series will be produced by Endemol Shine North America.

“HUNTED is a compelling new alternative series format, which our Alternative department had been tracking for a while, that feels tailor-made for CBS,” said Glenn Geller, President, CBS Entertainment. “It combines the suspense of a crime drama with the thrill of a competition reality series and some very topical social issues.”

HUNTED follows ordinary people attempting the nearly impossible task of disappearing in today’s vast digital world, as professional investigators combine state-of-the-art tracking methods with traditional tactics to narrow down the search area. From searching their target’s home and scouring Internet and cell phone histories to identifying behavioral patterns, they look for clues to potential hiding places and collaborators that can ultimately lead to capture.

HUNTED premiered to strong ratings this month, especially among young adults, on Channel 4 in the UK.

Information regarding premiere date and how to apply to be a participant will be announced at a later date.

Tuesday’s Top Freshman Series in Viewers Easily Wins 10:00 PM Time Period

CBS’s Tuesday freshman drama LIMITLESS retained +100% of its premiere adults 18-49 rating, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sept. 29.

At 10:00 PM, LIMITLESS averaged a time period-winning 9.58 million viewers and delivered 1.9/06 in adults 18-49 and 2.5/07 in adults 25-54. LIMITLESS retained all of its premiere adults 18-49 rating from the previous week. For the second consecutive week, LIMITLESS built on its adults 18-49 lead-in by +12% (1.9 from 1.7) and was Tuesday’s most-watched new program.
