Fifteen years ago doors closed on the revival of the play ‘On the Town‘ which featured Jesse Tyler Ferguson in the role of  Chip.   Now fifteen years later, the show is returning to Broadway. in another revival, opening October 16, 2014 at the Lyric Theater.  See below for full cast and creative team.

On the Town was created by Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden, Adolph Green and Jerome Robbins.  Marking the 70th year anniversary of the musical, it will be produced by Howard and Janet Kagan,opening in October at Broadway’s Lyric Theatre (most recently known as the Foxwoods Theatre), after the Lyric undergoes renovations.   The Lyric Theatre is owned by Ambassador Theatre Group and the historic theatre was created from a combination of the original Apollo Theater and the original Lyric Theatre that stood on the site.  The Tony-award winning John Rando will be directing the play.  Choreography will be under the helm of Joshua Bergasse.
