Kveller Editor’s note: Mayim Bialik posted this statement to her social media profiles on Tuesday, Feb. 10, and has given us expressed permission to run it on Kveller on her behalf.
I would like to dispel the rumors about my stance on vaccines. I am not anti-vaccine. My children are vaccinated. There has been so much hysteria and anger about this issue, and I hope this clears things up as far as my part.
Star Watch Byline Editors Note: Mayim Bialik has always advocated that parents should do their research and make decisions based on the knowledge they gain through their research and what their guts tell them to do. She has never advocated to be for or against the vaccination issue. Nothing more nothing less. As she stated, she has her own children vaccinated, but she made choices based on her research and what she felt was best for them as far as timing and actual vaccination. Taking comments from past interviews that were out of context or incorrect isn’t helping the issue. She is trying to put this issue to bed and we recommend that you LISTEN to her instead of fight with her on the issue. Do your homework, make your own decisions regarding what is right for you and your families.
