AN ALL-NEW EPSIODE OF PIVOT’S CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED NEW DRAMA “FORTITUDE” STARRING STANLEY TUCCI, RICHARD DORMER & MICHAEL GAMBON PREMIERES THIS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12 AT 10 PM ON PIVOT

IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING, A NEW “INVESTIGATE FORTITUDE” WEBISODE WILL DELVE INTO THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE EPISODE AT INVESTIGATEFORTITUDE.COM

Tune in for a new episode of the series that critics are saying “should be at the forefront of your TV radar” (Sarene Leeds, WSJ.com) when an all-new episode of “Fortitude” premieres this Thursday, February 12 at 10pm on Pivot. In this week’s episode, Dan and Frank travel up the coast in search of a suspect. But Dan’s feelings for Elena are threatening to overwhelm him.

Afterwards, viewers can dig deeper into the real-world issues presented in Fortitude, with an all-new episode of INVESTIGATE “FORTITUDE,” a nine-part video series from Pivot and EcoHealth Alliance hosted by Jacob Soboroff, that explores the real-life science behind the show. Through interviews with today’s top scientists — epidemiologists, ecologists, evolutionary biologists, and Arctic experts— INVESTIGATE “FORTITUDE” uncovers how the unintentional effects of climate change lead to important, unexpected, and fascinating realities.  Viewers can access this companion series at investigatefortitude.com. EcoHealth Alliance is a U.S.-based nonprofit that works around the globe on emerging infectious diseases at the intersection of conservation and public health. Last week’s episode, “Resurrecting Deadly Diseases” is currently available at the link above.

Don’t miss the new drama that Curt Wagner at Chicago RedEye is calling “an enigmatic and engrossing whodunit that should move to the top of everyone’s DVR queue.” For viewers who missed the first episode, of “Fortitude,” it is also now available to stream online at pivot.tv/fortitude.

SPOILERS: In order to allow viewers to experience the full impact of the suspenseful arctic thriller, we respectfully request that you refrain from sharing the following plot lines in advance of air:

Blood is discovered on Frank’s shirt and he becomes a major suspect.

  • Scientists determine the mysterious specimen is a wooly mammoth tooth, dated 30K years.
  • The carcass Ronnie and Jason are harboring is a wooly mammoth.
  • Sheriff Anderrsen violently assaults Frank.
  • Morton uncovers a key piece of evidence that links the earlier death of Billy Pettigrew to Charlie’s.

The dark drama series set in the melting Artic, tells the story of the small idyllic town of Fortitude, whose peaceful existence is shattered after a brutal and shocking murder. As the search for the killer progresses, their list of suspects – and suspicions of each other– grows.
