- Paradise Lost, Oscar-Nominated Documentary Filmmaker, Bruse Sinofsky passed away quietly in his sleep at age 58. Sinofsky’s death is attributed to complications from his diabetes. The NYU Tisch School of Arts graduate’s memorial service will be in March. Sinofsky is best known for Paradise Lost, a trilogy of films about a group of convicted teens, despite the lack of evidence for the murder and sexual mutilation of three prepubescent boys. The films drew attention to the miscarriages of justice associated with their trial and convictions. Sinofsky received his Oscar nomination in 2011 for Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory, released just months after the three convicted teens, 18 years later now men, were released. Sinofsky won an Emmy for co-directing 1996 Paradise Lost and a Director’s Guild Award for 1992 Brothers Keeper about an elderly man accused of murdering his brother. Other awards Sinofsky won included a Peabody Award, an Independent Spirit Award and accolades form Sundance Film Festival.

- AMC’s The Walking Dead’s Markice Moore, who played Andrew in several Season 3 episodes, is recovering at hos home after a suicide attempt. Moore was found unresponsive Tuesday morning at his Woodland Hills home. He was hospitalized and then placed under a psychiatric hold for 72 hours. Moore, 28 was grieved after his grandmother’s recent death and has since stated that he regrets attempting suicide. His rep gave this statement: Mr. Moore is focused on getting the help he needs and moving forward with his life to live it to the fullest. He has a bright future ahead of him that he is looking forward to. At this time we ask that you respect his privacy while he is taking time to heal and keep Markice and his family in your prayers.”
