The 69th Annual Tony Award Nominations were announced Tuesday morning, April 28 with hosts, three-time nominee Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis. Willis will be making his debut on Broadway in the upcoming play Misery.
CBS will live air the June 7th awards ceremony from radio City Music Hall which start at 8 PM (tape-delayed on the West Coast) with hosts Kirstin Chenoweth, a nominee for performance in On the 20th century along with Alan Cumming, star of Cabaret.
An American in Paris and Fun Home each saw twelve nominations apiece with Something Rotten! seeing ten nominations and The King and I scoring nine nominations. Wolf-Hall received eight nominations; Skylight nabbed seen nominations; and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time took six nominations – all three imports from the United Kingdom. Hand of God saw five nods.
