The Eichmann Show is a 90-minute film about televising the trial of one of the key architects of the Holocaust during World War II – Adolf Eichmann. Freeman plays produer Milton Fruchtman in the feature. Leo Hurwitz, a TV director that was black listed under McCarthy era is being played by Anthony LaPaglia. Additional cast members include Rebecca Front, Andy Nyman and Nicholas Woodeson.
Frutchtman and Hurwitz had huge obstacles to overcome in order to get the testimony of one of the most notorious Nazis.
Coming upon the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the feature will be shown on BBCTwo in early 2015. Currently is is unclear whether BBCTwo plans to release this to BBC America for viewing. Stay tuned we will keep on top of the progress of this project.
