Fox studios love Brenda Song and have inked a holding deal with the actress for a yet to be determined project during the development season. Song recently has been seen in New Girl and in Dads this past season.
We simply couldn’t let her [Song] go,” said Fox’s senior vice president of casting Tess Sanchez in a statement. “She’s one of the most talented, funny and authentic young actresses out there today. We’ve got an incredible development slate this year, with multiple roles for which Brenda would be the perfect fit, and we can’t wait to cast her in one of our upcoming pilots.”
She has been one busy actress this year. Besides Fox’s New Girl, Song has been on ABCs Scandal, and was the voice of Veronica in the animated show Dads. Prior credits include a long run with Disney’s “Suite Life” and co-starring in ‘The Social Network’ film.
Stay tuned to for development season as there is more to this story that will unfold.
