METALLICA TO PERFORM EVERY NIGHT THE WEEK OF MONDAY, NOV. 17 – FRIDAY, NOV. 21 ON CBS’s “THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON”

            Metallica will make a rare late night television appearance and take the stage for one week on THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON, Monday, Nov. 17 – Friday, Nov. 21 (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The four band members – James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo – will sit down for an interview with Ferguson on Monday, Nov. 17.

On Nov. 24, Metallica will re-release a special 10-year anniversary edition of their long out-of-print documentary “METALLICA:  Some Kind of Monster.” On Nov. 28, Metallica will release a limited-edition 12-inch vinyl album, Lords of Summer.

Formed in 1981 by drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield, Metallica has become one of the most influential and commercially successful rock bands in history, having sold 110 million albums worldwide and playing to millions of fans the world over. Metallica has won numerous awards and accolades throughout their career, including nine GRAMMY® Awards, two American Music Awards and multiple MTV Video Music Awards. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009. Their latest studio album, Death Magnetic, was certified platinum just six weeks after it debuted atop the Billboard Top 200 Album chart in October 2008. Recently, Metallica earned a spot in the 60th Anniversary Edition of the Guinness Book of World Records by making history as the first and only band to perform a concert on all seven continents.

THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON airs weeknights (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT) following broadcasts of the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN on CBS.  THE LATE LATE SHOW is executive produced by Peter Lassally and is a 2009 Peabody Award recipient.
