Warner Bros. released a hot new trailer of The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies today. See the trailer below:
The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies is set to release on December 17 in theaters in High Frame Rate 3D, 3D, IMAX, and in 2D., starring Martin Freeman (as Bilbo Baggins), Benedict Cumberbatch (as Smaug), and Thorin Oakenshield (as Richard Armitage). The film was included on the list of The Contenders at the recent Deadline Hollywood event.
The remaining cast is also impressive with Ian McKellen, Evangeline Lilly, Luke Evans, Lee Pace, Billy Connolly, James Nesbitt, Ken Stott, Aidan Turner, Dean O’Gorman, Graham McTavish, Stephen Fry, Ryan Gage, Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Orlando Bloom, Mikael Persbrandt, Sylvester McCoy, Peter Hambleton, John Callen, Mark Hadlow, Jed Brophy, William Kircher, Stephen Hunter, Adam Brown, John Bell, Manu Bennett and John Tui. Whew!
The story: Bilbo and Company are forced to be embraced in a war against an armed flock of combatants and the terrifying Smaug from acquiring a kingdom of treasure and obliterating all of Middle-Earth.
The final triology J.R.R. Tolkien Hobbit film is directed by Peter Jackson; the script is penned by Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro, Fran Walsh and Phillipa Boyens; and the film is produced by Newline Cinema – Carolyn Cunningham, Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, and Zane Weiner. Warner Bros. will distribute the film.
