AMC’s The Walking Dead has broken yet another record in ratings last night with it’s mid-Season 5 finale.  Don’t worry, it will be returning back to continue the fifth season on February 8.  But last night it carried 14.8 Mil viewers with 9.6 Mil in the coveted demo of adults 18-49.   That is up 23/24% from last December 1 mid-Season 4 finale which saw 12.1 Mil viewers and 7.7 Mil in the key demo.

Season 5, thus far, has risen 13% among the 18-49 demo and in total viewers from the first half of Season.  The kicker, it beat out NBC’s Sunday Night Football of the Denver Broncos playing the Kansas City Chiefs.   The football game had 8Mil in the 18-49 adults rating, giving The Walking Dead 1.5 Mil more viewers in the demo.  It has been going head the first half of season 5, but given its return date of February 8, the show will be returning a week after Super Bowl XLIX so last night was the last faceoff of the season, with the show winning.
