Kunal Nayyar recently sat down with Traveller to list out his favorite hotels.
Here are the places he said were his favorites:
The London NYC in midtown New York City, NY -“If you have to stay in Midtown Manhattan, this is the place. Every room is a large suite with a separate living room and bedroom. Space is a premium in this part of town, so a large sleeping area is a luxury. Also, the lobby restaurant is by Gordon Ramsay, and you can never go wrong with that.” –
San Ysidro Ranch, Santa Barbara, CA -“Every suite has a hot tub on the patio overlooking a natural creek…Only an hour or so from LA, where I live, this ranch-style retreat in the hills offers hiking, horse-riding, yoga and painting classes. Every suite has a hot tub on the patio overlooking a natural creek. And the bathroom floors are heated. An added bonus? Dogs are allowed.”
The Langham, London, UK -“It’s rare that I would stay at a hotel based solely on its bar, but this is an exception. The Artesian bar at the Langham has the most beautifully handcrafted cocktails in the world. Umberto is the greatest bar manager in the universe, and I have never had a better Old Fashioned in my life.”
The Four Seasons Resort, Maui at Wailea, HI -My favourite hotel in the world. Impeccable service and stunning views from your balcony. Sunsets, sangria, soaking up the sun in the infinity pool… priceless. And I got engaged here, so I have a soft spot for it.
Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, UK -This hotel breathes service. I had an early morning flight to Mykonos from here—the staff not only printed out my boarding pass and had it waiting for me, but also packed me some breakfast for the ride to the airport.
