The Producers Guild of America (PGA) honor their contingent tonight at their 26 Annual Producers Guild of America Awards Ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. The PGA has approximately 6,000 members.
Actors who attended the event include Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Felicity Jones (Theory of Everything), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Ethan Hawke (Boyhood), Allen Leech (The Imitation Game), Edward Norton (Birdman), Resse Witherspoon (Wild), and many more.
Ryan Murphy opened up the event, welcoming all the producers and those in attendance.
Producer Mark Gordon (Criminal Minds) accepted the Norman Lear Lifetime Achievement Award, introduced by Shonda Rhimes; Producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead) wins the David O’Selznick Award, presented by Edward Norton; Matt Bomer accepted the Stanley Kramer award for HBO’s The Normal Heart. Jennifer Lawrence introduced Lionsgate CEO, Jon Feltheimer with the Milestone Award. Norman Lear Visionary Award goes to Plan B’s Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner.
The surprise upset of the evening went to Birdman over Boyhood for Outstanding Theatrical Motion Picture.
