Nolan Gould, best known as Luke Dunphy on ABC’s ‘Modern Family’, attended the 5th Annual L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Fundraiser. And he was not the only ‘Modern Family’ member to attend. Ty Burrell, known as Phil Dunphy on the show, was also at the event.
So what is Alex’s Lemonade Stand?
About the Foundation
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is dedicated to realizing Alex’s dream of eradicating childhood cancer. Founded by Alexandra ‘Alex’ Scott who was diagnosed with a childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma. While bravely battling her own cancer, Alex, beginning at age 4, and her family continued to hold yearly lemonade stands in her front yard to benefit childhood cancer research. News spread of the remarkable sick child dedicated to helping other sick children. People from all over the world, moved by her story, held their own lemonade stands and donated the proceeds to Alex and her cause. She passed away at age 8 in August of 2004, after raising over $1Mil o help find a cure for the disease that took her life.
If you feel inclined, you can donate to this worthy cause.
