Beloved Actor Robin Williams Photo Source: on Tumblr

Beloved funny-man and Oscar & Golden Globe-winning actor, Robin Williams has passed away at age 63.   Preliminar autopsy reports are calling  his death is  a suicide from asphyxiation.   He was found with a belt hanging in his home with a belt securely around his neck.  His assistant was the unlucky person who found him.

“This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin‘s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions,” the 63-year-old actor’s wife, Susan Schneider told THR.

Many of us grew up with Robin and laughed with him, cried with him, were touched by him and always found ourselves rooting for him.   He was as comfortable in dramatic roles as he was in comedic arenas.

Robin Williams is most known for his roles in Mork & Mindy,  Good Morning Vietnam, Good Will Hunting, Mrs. Doubtfire, Dead Poets Society, Patch Adams, The Fisher King, The Bird Cage, Jumanji, Bicentennial Man, What Dreams May Come, and providing the voice of the Genie in Aladdin, the voices of Ramon/Lovelace in Happy Feet and many other projects.  Williams had completed filming three projects that are currently in post production:  Merry Friggin’ Christmas; Night at the Museum:  The Secret of the Tomb; and Absolutely Anything where he was the  voice of Dennis the Dog.

The cast of The Big Bang Theory are grieving along with us and had this to say.  We will continue to add further comments that come as the cast learn of the news and react.  They are on set today and many have not had a chance to react to the news just yet.
