Hugh Grant, Meryl Steep and Simon Helberg, among others attended the London premiere of Florence Foster Jenkins tonight at the Odeon Leicester Square.
Florence Foster Jenkins is a biopic about a titular character (Streep) who is wealthy and was dubbed the “worst vocalist of all time.” The film takes place in the mid to late 1800’s. Jenkins had grand illusions of becoming an opera singer, but had no vocal skills or talent. But she fell in love with St. Clair Bayfield, who is a Shakspearean actor played by Hugh Grant. Bayfield takes on Jenkins as his client by becoming her agent and she becomes his “common-law” wife.
Florence Foster Jenkins hails from Paramount Pictures and will be released in the the following countries on the following dates:
