ABC  has decided not to order any further episodes of Selfie beyond the initial 13 order.   It had a 0.9 in the adult 18-49 this week (Live+SD) and while ABC still shows it to be on the schedule to air next Tuesday, it is unclear if they will continue to let it run a full 13 episodes or not, should another low rating come in next week.

The cancellation of Selfie follows the previously cancelled Manhattan Love Story, both shows which suffered from lack of marketable star-power, no lead-in show and very little promotion.   And while Selfie did better than Manhattan Love Story, but not enough of an audience draw and demo to keep it on air.

Black-ish is the only ABC comedy that has received a full order so far from ABC.

Meanwhile, ABC’s new supernatural crime drama, Forever was given another 9 episodes, filling  out the full 22 episodes for the season.   It joins ABC’s frehsman shows How To Get Away with Murder and Black-ish in receiving full season orders.  While Forever’s ratings and demo have been modest (most recently 1.1 in adults 18-49) it is a big DVR gainer and has had an 82% gain, the largest in all ABC series.

Forever stars  BAFTA- winner Ioan Gruffudd (Amazing Grace, King Arthur, Fantastic Four, Wales & more), Golden-Globe  & Emmy winner Judd Hirsch (Numb3rs, Damages, A Beautiful Mind, Dear John, Taxi, and many more), Joel David Moore (Bones, Avatar), and Donnie Keschwarz (24, The Sopranos, Damages).
