CBS’ The McCarthys has had a very slow start and it’s ratings have not been great, especially by CBS standards.  However, CBS is not willing to cancel it quite yet.  It has just ordered two more scripts for the fledging show.   Last night in ratings, however, The McCarthys did gain a 7% increase from the previous week giving them a 1.6 rating in the demo adults 18-19.   Of course the script order does not guarantee that the show will see a pick-up order, but it is reassuring that the network is willing to give it a little more time to gain some audience.

Fox just ordered 6 more episodes of ‘The Mindy Project‘ giving it a full 21 episodes for Season 3.   Mindy has been sluggish in ratings with this past week seeing 1.1 in adults 18-49 rating.  But Fox is pleased with the comedy’s DVR/multi-platform gains, as well as the appeal to female audiences.   In most current ratings, it is averaging a 1.6 among Adults 18-49 and  is a Top 5 live-action comedy with Women 18-34. Mindy has been logging 30-day multi-platform lifts of up to +99% this season vs Live + SD.
