Gunnar learns that Kiley has a child.  Kiley claims that he is the father of her child, forcing him to take a paternity test.   Good thing he took the test because he learns two things from it 1) he is not the father of the boy and 2) Kiley cheated on him and that the boy’s father is his own brother!

Wedding bells are ringing, but the couple that actually walks down the aisle and exchanges vows may not be who you expect it to be.   Instead, in a surprise turn of events, Avery and Juliette tie the knot.  They seem to overcome all of their troubles and find peace and joy in each other.

Handsome Deacon is going to face a bigger challenge than Luke.   He is soon going to learn that he has a serious illness, which makes him reflect on his life and how it could have turned it quite differently.  Of course Deacon will be bearing this illness nearly all by himself.  He will only confide in Scarlett and swears her to secrecy.

Rayna is overwhelmed and begins to look at her own life as well.   She feels that with all the Christmas specials, cameras in her face and fast pace her life has taken that she needs to change some things.  She makes a surprising and bold decision about her relationship with Luke, which is going to bring about a lot of changes.
