NBC has just ordered nine additional back-up scripts for the freshman drama, Blindspot, starring Jaimie Alexander. The order comes in following the airing of the premiere which grew from 2.1 to a 4.5 among adults 18-49 in Live+3 viewing.
Blindspot, a Warner Bros. TV production, opened to an audience size of 10.6 million viewers, with 3.1 mil vieweres in the coveted 18-49 demographic. The numbers then rose in the Live+3 to an overall of 15.2 million viewers and 4.5 million viewers in 18-49 demo, giving it a 4.5 rating, which topped CBS’ sophomore hit show Scorpion.
Written by showrunner Martin Gero and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Blindspot, even given the nine-order script back-up, does not guarantee that the series will earn a back-nine episode order, although the series has been a breakout thriller/drama for NBC and the top new series after Live+3 numbers were reported.
Blindspot airs Mondays at 10/9c PM on NBC.
