The cast of Friends will be reuniting in a two-hour special to pay tribute to veteran sitcom director James Burrows. Burrows directed 15 episodes of the popular sitcom, and recently just helmed his 1,000th TV episode for the mid-season show Crowded.
The cast of Friends, all six have committed to be present at the tribute, but may appear a different times (not altogether) although it is still unclear and the goal is to get them on all at one time.
Friends is not the only hit that Burrows is also known for directing the popular hit The Big Bang Theory, directing it’s original pilot and aired pilot episodes.
The two-hour special will unite and include cast members of The Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, Friends, Taxi, Cheers, Frasier and Will & Grace, all shows that Burrows had a part in making hits through his visionary eye as a director.
The special will be taped in Los Angeles later in January and will air on NBC February 21st at 9:00/8:00c PM ET. Promo courtesy of NBC Television.
