The book is packed with concept art, character backgrounds, design inspirations, and interviews with key animation talent. “The Art of Home” gives readers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how the upcoming movie was brought to life with the imagination and expertise of DreamWorks Animation’s talented creative team.

Based on the best-selling book “The True Meaning of Smekday” by Adam Rex, Home is guaranteed to delight moviegoers of all ages. When Oh, a loveable misfit from another planet, lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people, he forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip who is on a quest of her own. Through a series of comic adventures with Tip, Oh comes to understand that being different and making mistakes is all part of being human. And as he changes her planet and she changes his world, they discover the true meaning of the word Home.

“The Art of Home” features a foreword by actor Jim Parsons, preface by director Tim Johnson, and afterword by Adam Rex.
