Monty Phython fans, come one and all!   Hollywood Bowl’s Summer Play series will be hosting ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot‘ starring Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Idle, Kevin Chamberlain,  Christian Slater,  and Craig Robinson and more.  You can catch this night that promises you laughter on July 31st through August 2nd at the Hollywood Bowl.

Directed by BT McNicholl (Billy Elliot, Cabaret, A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum), who was mentored by Sam Mendes, Rob Marshall, Stephen Daldry, Jerry Zaks, James Lapine and Mike Nichols, McNicholl has won the Austrlian version of the Tony® Asward, The Helpmann Award for Best Direction for The Producers for stage entertainment, and the Moss Hart Award for his regional production of West Side Story.

Eric Idle wrote the book and lyrics for the presentation with Music by Idle and John Du Prez.

The stage production is a hilarious adaptation of the 1975 classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter amidst a bevy of beautiful showgirls, not to mention cows and killer rabbits…and French people…and monks. Oh…and Knights Who Say “Ni.” Thirty-five years after the Pythons first conquered the Bowl, this sublimely silly and delightful show – the 2005 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical – will remind you to “always look on the bright side of life.”
