Supernatural‘s Misha collins was mugged and beaten up while attending MinnConn in Mineapolis, Minnesota Friday evening, based on a number of tweets from attendees of the Convention. He was due to be on a panel and had to skip the panel due to the incident. However, he has returned to the convention since.

Collins is recovering well according to a tweet he later sent out:

Collins did remain at the convention and has managed to thrill fans with some fan photos and signings at the event. He is a trooper!
Collins is a fan favorite for Supernatural viewers and has been on the series since 2008, playing Castiel, a resurrected angel who manifests in the form of Jimmy Novak who managed to pull Dean (Jensen Ackles) out of Hell.
Supernatural Season 11 will premiere on October 7 at 9/8c PM ET on The CW.
