Steve Molaro has confirmed that The Big Bang Theory will feel the Force Awaken.
Given the obsession with Star Wars on the sitcom, Season 9 will feature a storyline about the new upcoming release of The Force Awakens. “We’re talking about how that will be weaved into [the guys] lives,” he says of the film which is due out in theaters on December 16, 2015. “We have some really cool ideas.”
Given the obsession that the boys have on the on the series over the film franchise, as well as their recent encounters with Carrie Fisher and James earl Jones, Molaro concedes “it would be weird for us not to mention” the film.
“Obviously, we’re all excited about it, just as human beings — and the characters are as well,” Molaro continues, “I don”t know exactly how it’s going to play in, but it won’t be ignored.”
