The Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki, through is banner at Warner Bros. TV, Alcide Bava Productions, has sold its first project, a multi-camera comedy untitled, written by Scott King, showrunner of the Hulu series Difficult People.  Alcide Bava Productions also has a second half-hour comedy project in development basedcon A.J. Jacobs’ best seller .

Receiving a script commitment, the King project centers on a Type-A, emotionally reserved newlywed who invites his wife’s twin sister to stay with them and suddenly finds himself in a world of over-sharing, and a third wheel in his own marriage.   Galecki and King will executive produce the project.

In the second comedy project, Jacobs, who is Esquire Magazine editor-at-large, is set to write the adaptation of his 2007 book, , comically chronically his year spent obeying as literally as possible the tenets of the Bible.   Galecki, Jacobs and Spencer Medof will executive produce the project.

Galecki brought in partner Andrew Haas, saying “our sensibilities are similar without being too similar so we agree on everything.”  Has played a key role in bringing on the A.J. Jacob’s book to Alcide Bava.   The book, originally at Paramount Pictures with Plan B had procured rights with Producer Medof, who contacted his friend Haas about developing the book into a TV series.

Galecki is proud of the accomplishments at Alcide Bava in the first seven months of it’s existence.   Galecki attributes diversity as one of the cornerstones of the company’s development philosophy.
