Triva note: The Flaming Spittoon, where Sheldon asked Amy to be his girlfriend was episode 5.10 of Season 5. Four seasons later on episode 9.10…. Happy Anniversary Shamy Fans!
Amy goes on another date with Dave and he comes back to her apartment where they sit on the couch. In the meantime, Sheldon, while listening to a Beach Boys song (Darlin’ ), realizes he cannot get the song or Amy out of his head and realizes how much she has done for him and how much she means to him and so goes over to her apartment.
Amy and Dave are just about to kiss when there is the standard “knock, knock, knock Amy” at the door. She yells it isn’t a good time, but he said it is too important and so she goes to the door and he tells her that he can’t get her out of his mind and that it is driving him insane. Amy admits to Sheldon that he is in her head all the time as well. Sheldon continuest ot tell her all that she means to him and how much he cares about her. Dave tells her that he thinks Sheldon wants to get back together with her. Sheldon confirms that he wants to be her boyfriend again and she says she wants to be his girlfriend again. They have an eye-coitus moment, staring lovingly at each other. Dave interrupts saying “kiss her you brilliant fool” to Sheldon and he wraps his arms around her and apologizes for ruining her date at the same time. Shamy both profess their love for each other again and they have a very hot,hot makeout session. Just as Sheldon is about to leave, Amy pulls him back into a hug and another makeout session.
