Chuck Lorre (L) and David Javerbaum (R)

Creator of The Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, Mom and Two and a Half Men has teamed up with The Daily Show and An Act of God writer/showrunner/creator, David Javerbaum to create a new untitled comedy series centering about a Legal Marijuana Dispensary Shop in Colorado.   The ensemble in the show will be a group of potheads.

The multi-camera comedy hails from Warner Bros. Television, where Lorre has an overall development deal.   If the show is picked up to series, Lorre will continue to likely have three series going at one time with already renewed The Big Bang Theory for Season 10 and Mom is very likely to be renewed for a fourth season.

Pot comedies seem to be all the rage in all the broadcast and streaming service outlets.   Amazon recently announced that Margaret Cho will be starring in a pot comedy called Highland; HBO picked six episodes of another pot comedy called High Maintenance and NBC has a new series in development called Buds, teaming Adam and Naomi Scott who are developing the project.
