According to the Times of London, Benedict Cumberbatch is now an engaged man. On page 57 of their “Forthcoming Marriages” edition of the Times of London, was the following:
When asked if Cumberbatch decided to go the traditional route for announcement, placing a brief announcement in the newspaper, his publicist, Karon Maskill replied that she was “delighted to confirm”the announcement and that he is indeed engaged to Ms. Hunter.
Cumberbatch and Hunter were first seen together at the French Open last June, avoiding the whole red carpet “seen together” hoopla They first met in 2009 when both worked on Burlesque Fairytales together.
Cumberbatch, of course is well known for his Emmy-winning role as show namesake, Sherlock, and is currently a contender for an Oscar nomination for his role as Alan Turning in The Imitation Game, the film also likely to receive an Oscar nomination.
