As previously reported, The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons’ That’s Wonderful Productions has optioned Ryan O’Connell’s new book, “” which was to be released in June.
The release launch of the book will occur on June 15, 2015 at the powerHouse Arena located in Brooklyn, New York hosted by editor Simon & Shuster. Jim Parsons will join O’Connell at the book debut event.
In his hilariously candid memoir, O’Connell recounts his experiences of just about every Millennial cliché imaginable before slowly limping towards adulthood and realizing what it really means to be special. I’m Special: An other Lies We Tell Ourselves is about what it’s like to grow up with special needs. O’Connell himself has cerebral palsy and is gay. The book reveals and sets apart the latest generation of young people coming of age in an all-wired, over-educated and underemployed world and touches on modern dating culture, internships, jobs, drugs and coming out of the closet.
