The Big Bang Theory‘s Laura Spencer (Emily) stars in a new film, Heartland, about a young Oklahoma artist (Lauren), struggling with a recent death of her girlfriend. She moves back to her rural Oklahoma childhood home to live with her mother and attempts to grieve. Lauren’s brother Justin returns home with his financée (Carrie) where things get complicated. After spending time together working on a project for her brother’s new windery, Lauren and Carrie find themselves tumbling into a passionate affair.
Heartland is written by Velinda Godfrey and Todd Waring who also co-star in the film and directed by Maura Anderson. Anderson, Godfrey and Jennifer Wood produced the film which filmed on location in Oklahoma.

Heartland, which is currently in post-production is due to release in 2016.
