Peri Gilpin who played beloved Roz on Frasier will be playing a recurring role on Scorpion as Deputy Director of Homeland Security Katherine Cooper, according to TVInsider. Her character will make her first appearance in the fourth episode of Season 2 of the series, taking over the role from Deputy Director Adriana Molina, played by Alana De La Garza. De La Garza has been cast in Criminal Minds‘ spinoff, Beyond Borders.
Since playing Frasier Crane’s trusty producer, Roz Doyle on Frasier, Gilpin has appeared on CSI, Men at Work and the summer freshman comedy series, Mr. Robinson.
Scorpion, which has already started production for this Fall, will air its Season 2 premiere on September 21 at 9/8c PM ET.
