Broadway’s An Act of God, starring Jim Parsons has been dazzling audiences each week and the numbers keep growing for the play. Week 10 was a turning point for the production, turning its $2.9 Mil capitalization investment to profit, thereby becoming profitable for the remainder of the play’s run.
According to Playbill, for the week ending July 19, 2015, the nearly solo-act play by Parsons grew to gross $990,023 with a 95.84% capacity this week. An Act of God has totaled over $8,996,350 over 11 weeks, averaging a 89.42% capacity.
As the play comes close to its final curtain call, it will be interesting to see if it will reach over and become a member of the $1Million club!
